It’s that time of year again! And really, after two years of gardening, I have concluded that I really don’t know what the hell I’m doing. I plant the seeds, and sometimes they grow, sometimes they don’t. I over water and I underwater. I have done the impossible and killed my rosemary plant.
I have a lot of pride in my brown-green thumbs and really despise them all at once.
But lessons learned: it is too cold to grow tomatoes, it is too cold to grow zucchini, it is too cold to grow peppers. Stick to leafy, leafy, leafy greens like arugula, kale, lettuce and chard. And lastly, sing to your garden everyday.
Cheers to gardening season 2014!
